Dorothy Okatch's star continued to shine as she officiated for the finals of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) men's and women's 3x3 Africa Cup basketball finals in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Okatch told Sport Monitor that it was an amazing experience. She said that for the last three editions, she has been doing only the men’s final. "This one, I did both. I went in there with pressure to perform, and I outdid myself. I am closing the year 2025 with a huge bang. It was my last court competition. I will be going to Angola for the Africa Youth Games. But this time, I will be there as a referee evaluator," she said. Okatch said it has been a successful year in her basketball career, above and beyond. She was invited to do the senior World Cup 3x3 and officiated the women’s bronze medal game. She also did the Under-23 World Cup and officiated the men’s bronze medal match. Okatch also officiated at the AfroBasket and officiated the bronze medal game.

"This year, I became the First African to hold an A license in 3x3 (we are only 14 in the world), first African to become a referee instructor and a referee evaluator in 3x3. First African to officiate at the 3x3 World Cup. I was also the first African to officiate at the World Tour games," she said.
