Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, Maclean Letshwiti, has denied media reports that a delegation from CAF and FIFA will be in the country tomorrow to help resolve a leadership crisis bedeviling local football.

Letshwiti is in Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations finals as part of the CAF executive committee and arrives back home tomorrow. Media reports had indicated that his arrival will coincide with a visit from a CAF and FIFA delegation, that will be in the country to address the unfolding leadership wrangle at the Botswana Football League (BFL).

However, Letshwiti said there was no such pending visit from the continental and world governing body leadership. "Nothing like that," was Letshwiti's brief response when asked about the said visit.

Letshwiti missed last week's meeting called by the BFA to try and find a solution to the crisis. He will arrive home amid rising tensions with the BFL having appointed a new chairperson in Tebogo Sebego, while league matches are suspended.

The BFL is heading to Palapye for another meeting to take further resolutions on the direction of the league although the BFA has urged the warring factions to wait until the matter is heard before the Arbitration Tribunal.
