Ngozi, Mothibi suspended after doping incidents

Athletes, Zibane Ngozi and Karabo Mothibi have been provisionally suspended after failing recent doping tests.

In a statement, the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) confirmed the immediate suspension of the two, after their samples tested positive for banned substances.

"The BNOC collected samples from Mr. Zibane and Mr. Mothibi during in -competitions tests on 16 and 29 August and 12 April 2025 respectively. The athletes have been informed about the Adverse Analytical Findings (AAF) and their mandatory suspension from sport and associated activities," the BNOC said through the statement released today.
