Notwane are back in the investor spotlight, with fresh links emerging between the First Division South League side and the owners of Namibian elite outfit, FC Ongos.

The Namibian club’s proprietors are said to be eyeing an expansion into Botswana, raising speculation of a possible financial injection into the historic Gaborone-based club. Newly elected Notwane chairperson, Freddie Ramodise, confirmed to SportMonitor on Monday that the executive committee was aware of the investor reports, but said nothing concrete has been concluded.

“We are new in office, having assumed our roles on June 28, and we are still finalising the handover process from the previous leadership," he said.
