New BNSC board in quiet transition

A new era has quietly begun at the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC), with a newly appointed board assuming office last week following months of tension that marked the end of its predecessor's tenure. Unlike previous board transitions, the new committee has not been publicly unveiled.

The change comes against the backdrop of disagreements between the former board and the Commission's leadership, culminating in concerns that were reportedly raised with the Minister of Sport and Arts, Jacob Kelebeng.

Amongst the issues raised was the appointment of BNSC chief executive officer, Olebile Sikwane.
