Namibia's BPL stars closer to AFCON finals

While the Zebras are out of the AFCON 2023 finals’ contention, local football might still have some representation at the biennial competition.

This week back-to-back away and home losses to Equatorial Guinea saw the Zebras crash out of the AFCON contention. The team will miss the continental showpiece for the sixth consecutive time since its maiden appearance in 2012.

As the nation is reeling from the disappointment of missing out on the AFCON qualification, the western neighbours, Namibia are in a celebratory mood as an AFCON berth is just a grasp away.

Don't let FMD outbreak drag on

Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
