Kweneng Regional Chairman’s Cup kicks off

The second edition of the Kweneng Regional Chairman’s Cup is set to take place over the weekend at the VTM Arena, marking the return of the region’s premier pre-season football tournament. The competition brings together all the teams for the area to showcase football talent from across the Kweneng Region.

Twenty-four teams are drawn from the men’s, women’s and youth leagues and will compete over two weekends of action. The men’s category features a 16-team contest comprising the top eight teams from the Kweneng Region Division One and the top four finishers from each of the two Division Two leagues.

Amongst the teams confirmed are Masitaoka, Matebejana, Blue Aces, Moritshane Lions, Senyane, Blackburn Callies, Mmopane SC, Mmankadile, Thamaga Swallows, Kumakwane Checkers, Babakima, Naledi Swallows, Walker XI, City Bucks, African Birds and Molepolole Tigers.
