Innocent Morapedi and Benny Kgomela will leave Gaborone United (GU) following the recent technical team shake up at the club. The Reds recently appointed former Zebras coach, Peter Butler as the new football director.

Former Notwane coach, Kakale Mabechu has also joined the club as the new women’s head coach on an interim basis from the development structures. The two coaches’ arrival see Morapedi and Kgomela head for the exit door.

The duo is expected to part ways with GU on May 31, 2023. The veteran tacticians' contract will expire at the end of the current campaign and the club has opted against a renewal. “Both Kgomela and Morapedi’s contracts are elapsing come end of May and we have no plans to renew them. So yes, they won't be there next season with the team,” GU’s communication and marketing manager, Herbert Letsebe told Mmegi Sport.
