Head coach for Gaborone United (GU), Dimitar Pantev, is hoping for a continuation of good fortunes in continental football ahead of this weekend's CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.

GU are ready to take the continental stage by storm as they prepare to face Tanzanian giants Simba SC in the CAF Champions League’s preliminary round, part of a historic CAF double header at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium on Saturday. The day kicks off at 3pm with Young African FC of Namibia clashing with Royal Leopards of Eswatini in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, followed by GU’s highly anticipated showdown with Simba SC at 7pm.

Two matches, four clubs, one venue, and the promise of electrifying African football action and Francistown is set to be the beating heart of regional football this weekend.
