The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has announced that it will allow for free of charge 10,000 spectators for the Junior Mares' World Cup qualifier against Tanzania to be held this Sunday.

The Under-17s will host Tanzania at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium for the second leg of the 2022 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers. The home girls are heavily trailing after losing 7-0 in Tanzania a week ago.

Speaking at a press conference held in Gaborone on Friday, BFA public relations officer, Tumo Mpatane said 10,000 fans will be allowed into the stadium for free as they hope the 12th man could spur the team to turn around the heavy scoreline. However, the fans must be fully vaccinated or had tested negative for COVID-19 in the last 48 hours before the match.
