Forward, Gaonyadiwe ‘Neymar’ Ontlametse enjoyed a bright a debut for Gaborone United as her goal was the difference as her side beat Security Systems in the opener of the Gaborone Region Women’s League Division 1 league yesterday. ‘

Neymar’ joined the Reds on Friday as the team’s marquee signing from rivals Double Action, just 48 hours before the yesterday tie played at the Lekidi East grounds. It did not take long for ‘Neymar’ to announce herself to the GU faithful as she headed home in the first minute to give GU the lead.

The Reds Ladies dominated much of the proceedings following the opener as the Alarm Girls sat back and looked to catch their opponents on the break. Keitumetse Dithebe missed a glorious chance for GU as she headed wide from inside the box on the 26th minute.
