With only three games left until the curtain falls on the 2024/25 FNB Premiership League season, the Botswana Football League (BFL) has officially unveiled prize monies amounting to P400 000.

Through a statement this afternoon, BFL stated that for the first time it will host the league awards on May 25 in Gaborone while the nominees will be announced tomorrow. “The nominees for the end of the season awards shall be released by the BFL May 6 after a rigorous data driven process,” read the statement. The announcement sets the stage for a thrilling finish as teams battle it out for the league with more than three teams in the league race.

The categories for the awards include and their prizes are; Player of the season: P100 000 Players Player of the season: P50 000 Supporters Player of the season: P25 000 Young Player of the season: P25 000 Coach of the season: P50 000 Goalkeeper of the season: P25 000 Defender of the season: P25 000 Midfielder of the season: P25 000 Top goal scorer: P50 000 The awards will have an additional category, named chairman’s special award which will be selected by BFL chairman Bennet Mamelodi. The winner of the award will walk away with P25 000.
