OTSE: BDF Xi are through to the quarterfinals of the Orange FA Cup after edging First Division side, Notwane. Thabo Metlhayotlhe's solitary strike was enough to hand BDF XI the 1-0 victory in a tight affair played here yesterday.

The two teams met in the last 16 round for the third time in four seasons. Both sides had a win each in the two previous meetings. In the first quarter of an hour of the tie, both goalkeepers were not tested as the action was more concentrated in the middle of the park.

Metlhayotlhe had the first attempt at goal, however he directed his header off the post on the 17th minute. Two minutes later, Notwane launched an enterprising move orchestrated by Remmington Masuku but Donald Botshoma shot over the bar.
