Athletics referees from Gaborone who are travelling to Francistown to officiate at the weekend Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) series are feeling the financial toll of the A1 Highway. Their complaints come on the eve of the BAA Track and Field Series Three scheduled for tomorrow at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium.

The BAA is currently hosting competitions in Francistown due to the unavailability of the National Stadium.

The referees complain that they are not paid allowances. According to a source, BAA always cites a lack of funds for failure to pay the officials.
