Mochudi Centre Chiefs have closed a busy transfer window with the signing of Argentinian midfielder, Nahuel Nicolas Melgarejo who becomes the club's 18th signing since the off-season.

Melgarejo was signed from Al Bataeh FC in the United Arab Emirates. The Botswana Football League (BFL) transfer window closed last night with Chiefs emerging as the biggest buyers as they bid to win their first league title since 2015. Coach, Pontsho Moloi, speaking at the weekend after the team's 1-1 draw with Sua Flamingoes said the integration of the new players was going as planned. "My team is work in progress in terms of new players I have (around) 19-20 players but the speed of progress is quite impressive if you look at how we play now," he said. Chiefs have started the campaign well with three wins and three draws from six matches, which sees the team in third position, behind Jwaneng Galaxy and Township Rollers.
