Zebras' trio in Nedbank cup semis

Botswana internationals Mogakolodi Ngele, Mogogi Gabonamong and Kabelo Dambe continued to rise in South Africa's elite league as their respective sides reached the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup over the weekend.

Holding midfielder Gabonamong proved his worth to Supersport United with a decisive goal on the stroke of halftime as they recovered from a goal behind to beat Maritzburg United 2-1.

Gabonamong was struggling to break into the first team at the start of the season but have recently forced his way back into the team with impressive performances whenever he was given a chance. Also in action on Saturday was Joel Mogorosi, whose Bloemfontein Celtic was knocked out by Kaizer Chiefs 1-0. An own goal from former Amakhosi defender Dominic Isaacs secured a 1-0 win knock Celtic out of the competition. Mogorosi was replaced after 74 minutes.
