Zebras� poor West African record a concern

The Zebras’ recent record against West African opposition is a cause for concern as they prepare to face powerhouse, Senegal at the National Stadium tonight.

In the last two AFCON qualifiers, the Zebras have only one victory in six matches against an opponent from West Africa.

The Zebras last tasted joy against a West African nation when they hosted Togo at the UB Stadium in 2010. They won 2-1 with goals from Jerome Ramatlhakwana and Joel Mogorosi. The team then lost 1-0 in the reverse fixture after it had already secured passage to a maiden AFCON finals appearance.
