Zebras’ preparations for their crucial encounter against Uganda suffered a further blow yesterday when a scheduled friendly match with Malawi on Sunday was scrapped.

The Zebras only returned to training yesterday after three days of boycott over allowances.

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng announced that the match had been called-off. “The Football Association of Malawi has just communicated their team’s inability to honour the match due to reasons beyond their control.
