The second round of the AT&T Monnakgotla women's football league resumes on January 29 with log leaders, Double Action favourites to bag another title.

The league's committee chairperson, Ishmael Mokome, said they have sent draft fixtures to teams and expect them to have approved them by Monday.

He said all the first round games have been completed except for the Manana, South East Girls United (SEGU), and Township Rollers and Prisons clashes that were deferred because of unplayable surfaces. Double Action lead the log after 13 games with 33 points while Real Touch are finding the going tough at the bottom of the log with only five points. Mokome said the first round went well with only a few incidents. He said the coming on board of new sponsor, AT&T Monnakgotla has brought refreshing changes. The league had been running for seasons without sponsorship. He said the game has been able to attract spectators due to the competitiveness of the league. Mokome said besides the sponsorship, the improvement of the league is due to a good relationship between the league committee and teams.
