Volleyball Team Leaves For Kenya

The national women volleyball team leaves for Nairobi, Kenya today, for the African Nations Cup scheduled for September 4th-10th. Botswana will participate in the tournament for the first time in 14 years.

Other countries expected at the event are Egypt, Algeria, Cameroon, Tunisia, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Seychelles, Mauritius and the hosts and defending champions Kenya.

Botswana qualified for the tournament after finishing second to South Africa in the Zone VI competition in May. The winner of the Nairobi tournament will qualify for the World Championships scheduled for Japan in November.
