Under-23 team to play in China

The national Under-23 soccer team is scheduled to leave for China on Sunday to take part in a four-nation tournament starting next week. The Dream Team will be competing against hosts China, Japan and Korea. Coach David Bright said that they will travel with 19 players, though they need more because they have to play three matches. He said that though some key players are missing the trip, he is hopeful that those travelling will perform well.

BMC tough-tackling defender, Tumisang Sekanonyana is one of the players that will not travel to China because of injury. He has been a pillar of strength in the team. His place on the China trip has been taken by Flamengo Santos' player, Jenamiso Keabetswe. Phenyo Mongala and Moemedi Moatlhaping are not travelling with the team due to injuries.

Bright said that BMC winger, Mosimanegape Ramohibidu and Notwane goalkeeper, Mompoloki Sephekolo are not in the squad because of school commitments. Mochudi Centre Chiefs' goalkeeper, Noah Maposa is expected to join the team in China immediately after the COSAFA Castle Cup. The custodian has been included in the Zebras' squad for the regional tournament.
