Employees of Dikgang Publishing Company, Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) and University Of Botswana (UB) who have their lunch at The Kitchen located at the Bona courts came together and bought a pair of playing shoes for young cricketer, Thapelo Masilo.

The player was given two pairs of playing shoes and P400 in cash that was collected from people who attended the handover ceremony in Gaborone last Friday.

According to one of the contributors, Cono Monare, the young cricketer demonstrated his potential as a wicket kipper during the recent Under-14 games played in Zimbabwe. However, the 12-year-old did not have proper playing shoes, so when Monare re-joined his friends for lunch at the Kitchen he narrated to them the story about Masilo's cricketing prowess and they all felt inspired to contribute two pairs of sports shoes.
