Mochudi Centre Chiefs' young goalkeeper Gontse Tlhowe put up a five-star performance to help his side to a 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Gaborone United (GU) in a be MOBILE Premier League game played before an electrifying atmosphere at UB Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Prior to the game, there were concerns about Tlhowe's experience and form after unconvincing performances against BDF XI and TAFIC this season. On the eve of the Sunday duel, Chiefs' officials were running around trying to secure the services of former national team goalkeeper Barolong 'Toldo' Lemmenyane from Township Rollers. But when the move failed, the Kgatleng giants had no option but to field Tlhowe because the current number one Mompoloki 'Wrist' Sephekolo is suspended.

Against GU, Tlhowe made three sterling saves to preserve Magosi's unbeaten run this season after seven games. In the first half, he did well to parry GU captain, Vincent Phiri's long-range  pile drive over the bar. On the stroke of halftime, he blocked a powerful header from Sageby Sandaka's. In the 83rd minute, he parried Ronald Chikomo's close range header over the bar.
