The league title up for grabs. Anyone?

A slump in form has seen defending champions Mochudi Centre Chiefs botch up their chances of comfortably retaining the title. However, the chasers could not take advantage of Magosi's slump and the race remains open to anyone in the top four. Staff Writer FREDERICK KEBADIRETSE looks at the race for the coveted P1 million-league title as it reaches the final stretch

The Selebi-Phikwe side came through as a surprise package to challenge Chiefs at the top midway through the season. They are currently at the summit, a point ahead of Chiefs who have two games in hand. They have, however, failed dismally to take advantage of Chiefs' slump, managing to get a paltry four points from four draws in their last five outings. All of a sudden they seem not up to the challenge as the league moves towards the finish line.

Their poor away form does not help the situation. They tend to drop most of their points playing away throughout the season. They make however take solace in that they are playing four of their remaining fixtures at home, but will have tough away assignments to fellow title chasers GU and Extension Gunners who are aiming to finish in the top eight.
