FRANCISTOWN: Officials at TAFIC have disclosed that they intend to have signed three players from West Africa before the end of the week.

The trio have been on trial at the club for the past few weeks and indications are they have impressed TAFIC management. The club manager Master Mbulawa confirmed in an interview with Mmegi Sport."We are busy processing all the paper work in a bid to sign the three players."We hope that we will have gained ownership of the players before the end of the week and they will be ready to play soon."Based on the quality we have seen of the three players we believe they can add value to our side. I also can't disclose anything much about our deal with the three players for now," he said. The players are expected to sign for the remainder of the season."The club does not have enough money to make a long-term commitment on the three players for now," the source said.

The players are 21-year-old Adong Adong Pascal Kevin from Cameroon who is a forward, 22-year-old Abou Outtar from Ivory Coast a midfielder. The third player is 18-year-old midfielder Livinus Eze Innocent from Nigeria.A Motswana agent who is based abroad facilitated the trials, according to Mbulawa."I am not sure which country he is based in but he is not in Botswana. His name is Morin Nthoiwa," he said.Should the three players be signed this will be a huge relief to TAFIC mentor Dominic Changwe who has often decried that there is lack of depth, experience and quality among his troops. Last week Changwe even emphasised the need to sign the three West Africans.TAFIC does not have a foreigner on its books following the departure of the Zimbabwean duo of Tafadzwa Maingire and Audience Rundofa to Lobatse outfit BMC early this year.
