Suppliers cry foul over African Games deal

Some local suppliers are crying foul after losing out on dressing the Botswana team that will take part at the African Games, which start in Rabat, Morocco on Monday.

The deal was to supply hospitality kit to Team Botswana that has 144 members; 99 being athletes and 45 officials.

Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) did not flight the tender for the hospitality kit. It is alleged that BNSC decided to take the direct procurement route. Dlala Sports Wear managing director, Lesedi Mmopi said they expected the BNSC to invite companies to tender.
