After surrendering his position to Tebogo Sebego in what turned out into a one-sided contest last week, in this no-holds barred interview, former Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, David Fani tells Mmegi Sport Staff Writer, MQONDISI DUBE of his disappointment at some of his senior members openly plotting his demise and where his future lies

Mmegi Sport:  Did you expect the outcome of the poll particularly, the margin of the defeat?

Fani:  Quite obviously, based on football's overall performance during the last four years, I expected to win the election comfortably.  I was therefore surprised and disappointed with the outcome.  I nonetheless congratulate Sebego and wish him and his team well in their endeavour to take Botswana football to the next level which is the mandate of all football leaders.
