Uniao Flamengo Santos' troubled season continued with reports that seven players were summoned before the club's disciplinary committee last night for going AWOL ahead of their weekend match against Nico United.

Santos lost the encounter 3-1.

Santos' spokesperson, Onkemetse Mogomotsi, said the seven missed training ahead of the Nico United game and subsequently missed the match.  Mogomotsi said the players boycotted training over unpaid salaries, but they were addressed and pacified on the matter. He said it is up to coach George Mogopodi to select the players when the team travels north to face ECCO City Greens in a league match on Saturday. Mogomotsi said their availability would depend on the outcome of last night's disciplinary hearing.
