Satmos found guilty of using a defaulter

FRANCISTOWN: FC Satmos' title charge received a body blow after the club was found guilty of using a defaulter and lost three points and two goals which were awarded to their opponents in the disputed match, Mahalapye Hotspurs.

The ruling sees Satmos surrender their lead at the top to Hotspurs, who are now favourites to clinch the promotion spot. Satmos had won the fixture 2-0.

The First Division North Disciplinary Committee ruled that Satmos had fielded a defaulter in defender Tafadzwa Zombe during their clash against Hotspurs in Selebi-Phikwe a fortnight ago. Zombe was still serving a two-match suspension when he played against Hotspurs.
