SA based athletes arrive for Sports View meet

South Africa-based athletes are expected in the country today ahead of Saturday's Sports View International meet and next weekend's National Championships as they continue their race for London 2012 Olympic berths.

The Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) sent some local athletes for training in Pretoria, South Africa, last month in an effort to enhance their chances of qualifying for the Olympic Games in the British capital.

Botswana's 100 metre and 200 metre sprinters, Yatea Kambepera and Fanuel Kenosi, as well as 800 metre runner, Nigel Amos all moved to the High Performance Centre in Pretoria. Obakeng Ngwigwa, Tiroyaone Masake and Omphemetse Mokgadi also moved to the HPC together with the female duo of Kgalalelo Gaboitsiwe and Goitseone Seleka.
