Rhinos end Hogs' run

UB Rhinos put up a remarkable performance as they brought Gaborone Hogs' winning streak to a halt, beating them 21-19 in a thrilling Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) encounter played on Saturday afternoon at Wharic Park.

It was sweet revenge for Rhinos, who lost the reverse encounter 10-7, a few weeks ago. The students did everything right on Saturday - they dominated the scrums and lineouts and stifled Hogs' supply to backline.

And Hogs failed to stick to their structure, often backtracking.  But the hosts, Hogs, had started off well and looked like they would stretch their unbeaten run.An excellent move that saw Benny De Beer sell a dummy before setting up Steve Parry for their opening try got them on the scoreboard as early as the second minute.
