Fears that Botswana will field a weakened team at the Under-20 COSAFA Castle Cup have been put to rest after the big clubs released key players for the regional tournament.

Premier League leaders Township Rollers have given permission for its top players like striker Aubrey Kebonnetse, first choice goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe and right back Simesane Mathumo to travel with the team to South Africa while Notwane have released the influential Galagwe Moyana and Kgaodi Odirile.

Other big names in the squad are Uniao Flamengo Santos' right back, Thato 'Yellow' Bolweleng and BDF XI's rock solid defender, Gaopatwe Seosenyeng. There were fears that top clubs will not release key players because the COSAFA tournament is not in the FIFA calendar of events. The Botswana team is captained by Kebonnetse. The squad leaves for South Africa this week for the tournament that kicks off on Sunday in Bloemfontein.
