Re ba bona ha to launch in Maun

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) is reportedly working on an ambitious programme to launch the Re ba bona ha basketball programme in Maun, Mmegi Sports has established.

The programme may be launched before the middle of the year should the proposal be given the thumbs up by the Botswana Basketball Association (BBA).Basketball is a height based sports and with Maun and surrounding areas blessed with children with great height the council reportedly saw it fit to consider starting the programme in the area.

The programme is reportedly spear headed by the BNSC sports development officer in the area Odirile Sibanda."Yes we are working on a proposal to launch basketball as part of the Re ba bona ha programme.We believe this region can produce great basketball players based on the height and strength bodies of most children here. We are still drawing a proposal that will be availed to the country's basketball association.
