Only one player, Mogakolodi Ngele's club was on the winning side, beating Moroka Swallows 3-1. The former Uniao Flamengo Santos and Township Rollers forward came on as a second half substitute but did not make much of an impact.

Stars got their goals through Malawian Robert Ng'ambi, Siphelele Mthembu and Benson Mhlongo - the first and the third being headed home from corner-kicks. Swallows' consolation goal came through Lerato Chabangu's free-kick. Mogogi Gabonamong of SuperSport United and Pretoria University's Dipsy Selolwane played to 1-1 draws.
