With the Mascom Premier League coming to an end tomorrow, the thing which is expected to draw the attention of the football supporters is to who will win the Golden Boot award.

In line for the award are Master Masitara (Nico United) and Jerome 'JJ' Ramatlhakwana (Mochudi Centre Chiefs) who have netted 18 goals, with the nearest rival Otlaadisa 'TRX' Mohambi of Extension Gunners having scored  17 goals. For a very long time, Ramatlhakwana was runaway winner of the award but Masitara and Mohambi came to the party scoring crucial goals in the last eight games. The evergreen Nico United forward scored a hat-trick against TASC at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium on Wednesday night.

Ahead of tomorrow's games, Masitara and Mohambi are both confident that their chances of ending the season as top scorers are high. In an interview with Mmegi Sport, Mohambi said that he would go into the game with a plan to score two goals, which might see him getting the award that is if Masitara and Ramatlhakwana fire the blanks. Mohambi will be hoping that his team-mates keep a close eye on Masitara in their night game at the Phikwe Stadium tomorrow. "We are going into this game under no pressure because we have retained our place in the Premier League. So this game, my team-mates will be playing for me," he said.
