Phikwe Challenge cup postponed

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Phikwe Challenge Cup that was schedule for September 1 has been postponed due to logistical challenges.

BCL Mine was to sponsor the tournament. BCL public relations and marketing manager, James Molosankwe told Mmegi Sport that the tournament has been postponed due to challenges beyond their control. He explained that one of the challenges is accommodation for the clubs because all accommodation facilities in Selebi-Phikwe are fully booked during the tournament date. He said that they would come up with a new date.

The tournament was to feature Mascom Top 8 champions, Township Rollers and be MOBILE Premier League champions, Mochudi Centre Chiefs, home teams, Nico United and FC Satmos.BCL Mine sponsors the tournament to the tune of P35, 000.  Selebi-Phikwe Regional Football Association (SPRFA) chairperson, Tebro
Onkabetse said they invited Rollers and Chiefs because the two sides were crowd pullers with enough following in all corners of the country.
