Party time at Rollers

Township Rollers' supporters have every reason to smile at the moment and they cannot be blamed for thinking that this is their season to clinch the prestigious be MOBILE Premier League title.

Since the season started, Rollers have been dishing out entertaining football, which is attracting thousands of supporters to their games every weekend.

Even their long lost supporters have come back and everything seems to be running smoothly at the 'Mma-Masire side'. This season, Rollers' supporters have been more visible in the city as they wear the club's colours with pride. After eight games, Mapalistina are sitting at the summit with 21 points, five clear from second-placed Extension Gunners. This season, Rollers have only lost to their hoodoo side Uniao Flamengo Santos but that has not dampened their spirits. Some commentators argue that Rollers have not been tested and can only be declared champions-elect if they beat top sides like BDF XI, Police XI, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Gaborone United (GU). True, but the important thing is that in the games they have played so far, they have been consistent. In the 2-1 win over BMC last Friday night, Rollers were not at their best but they managed to do the important thing - collecting maximum points.
