Paledi roots for accountability in sport

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Kofukan Federation (BKF) chairman Mokwaledi Paledi has promised to effect accountability in the organisation to attract more sponsors.

After serving the federation as the secretary some years ago, Paledi became the chairman recently. He replaced Mpho Mophuting. He told Mmegi Sport yesterday that his ambition is to take the kofukan style to the next level.

"As you know, many sporting codes are struggling financially but we have potential sponsors. One main reason that makes companies reluctant in putting money into sports is because codes are not accountable enough. They do not provide convincing reports after getting financial assistance but this is something I would like to seriously tackle," he said.
