Botswana international striker Diphetogo 'Dipsy' Selolwane could be lost to Jomo Cosmos and South African football after the player was approached by a team in Vancouver, Canada, with the possibility of joining them.

The former Santos hitman who set the local scene alight when he first arrived in the country three years ago to join Santos, ironically from the North American Soccer League, fell way out of the pecking order at Santos last year under Roger de Sa, who has since joined Bidvest Wits.

And when his contract expired, Selolwane elected to get his clearance and headed south, where he signed a pre-contract with Jomo Cosmos. However, due to the fact that Selolwane's father is a South African, it was decided by the player and Cosmos owner Jomo Sono that Selolwane should apply for South African citizenship.
