Mochudi Centre Chiefs' coach Madinda Ndlovu has admitted that it was never going to be easy for his side after their recent heavy CAF Champions League defeat by TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Chiefs had to travel from Lubumbashi to Gaborone by road through Zambia after missing their scheduled SAA flight from Ndola on the Copperbelt.Straight from their 2,000 kilometre long trip, Chiefs played against TAFIC in a midweek league encounter before taking on rampant BDF XI at the weekend in the Mascom Top 8 semi finals first leg. They lost both encounters and showed signs of fatigue especially in the second half against BDF XI. For the first time in recent weeks, they had almost a week's rest before their match against rivals, Township Rollers on Saturday. Against Rollers, Chiefs showed some improvement in the level of fitness, fighting until the final whistle. They twice came from behind to earn a vital point against highly improved Rollers who are under the tutelage of new coach, Mike Sithole.

"We knew this was going to be a difficult game and this point is vital for us. We just need to win our two matches in hand and we will be fine," Ndlovu said in a post-match interview. Against Rollers, Chiefs missed their two centre backs, Michael Mogaladi and Arnold Chaka whose positions were filled by Tshepo Motlhabankwe and Thabiso Khunwane. Ndlovu was also optimistic that despite the recent slump in form, things will get back to normal in the remaining matches. He said he is not really shaken about losing the championship, but just worried about the recent results.  "Every team goes through this patch; I am confident that we will turn things around," he added.Against Rollers, Ndlovu gave former Notwane left back, Kutlo Sejeso a run. He was substituted in the second half with Pontsho Moloi as Chiefs pushed for an equaliser. Magosi are just a point behind log leaders, Nico United with two games in hand.
