National team boxers shine at Glen Valley tourney

National team pugilists continued their supremacy on the local boxing scene after they all won their fights during the third inter-club boxing tournament at Glenn Valley on Saturday.

The tournament is a qualifier for the Keone Mooka National Boxing Championships that have been moved from the traditional November to August to accommodate students who will be writing examinations in November.Oteng Oteng of UB Boxing Club, and his national teammates Mmoloki Nogeng of DTCB and Francistown's Gomotsang Gaasite all won their 52-kg fights over the weekend.

Oteng won his bout after the referee stopped the fight following a head injury on his opponent, Mookodi Onkabetse of TAB, while Nogeng beat Ryan Seakolo of GVBC 12-7. Gaasite edged Ookeditse Bobeilwe 12-9 in another exciting duel.
