Multichoice regains Premier League rights

MultiChoice has finally got back the big one after two years of feeding on leftovers from its rival GTV. The South African pay television service provider has been awarded the broadcasting rights of the English Premier League for Africa following the liquidation of GTV.

MultiChoice officials broke the good news to the media at their Gaborone offices yesterday. Two years ago, GTV hit MultiChoice where it hurts when it won the main rights to broadcast the games to the African continent except South Africa and Nigeria.

But after last week's collapse of GTV, MultiChoice has regained its position as the premier broadcaster of the English Premier League matches in Africa.
