Motlakase Hires Mwaanga

Palapye-based Premier League outfit, Motlakase Power Dynamos, have confirmed the appointment of veteran Stanley Mwaanga to replace Zimbabwean coach, Madinda Ndlovu who has returned to his homeland.

Ndlovu took charge midway through last season but dumped them three weeks ago to take up an offer with a Harare side. Motlakase chairman, Mangisi Segadimo, said they are happy to have secured the services of a coach of Mwaanga's calibre. "Yes I can confirm that Stanley Mwaanga has joined us. He's a steady man, he's a Christian and always a fatherly figure to his players and we are happy to have a man like him here," an elated Segadimo told Sport Monitor.

Segadimo, a former footballer himself, reveres Mwaanga and said he got to know him during his days at Miscellaneous. He stated that they were scheduled to finalise the deal yesterday. "We are finalising everything today (yesterday), we have a meeting of board of directors, but everything is in place," he said. The club ended in position 12 after struggling to find its feet in the elite league for the greater part of the season.
