Mogoditshane JSS to host chess finals

All roads will this weekend lead to Mogoditshane Junior Secondary School where the Botswana Chess Federation (BCF) will hold the Annual Morongwa Senior Schools Individual Chess Championship finals from tomorrow until Sunday.

The tournament is invitational and open to the 120 players - 60 boys and 40 girls - who qualified during the seniors' qualifiers. In addition, 20 juniors selected during the juniors' finals will participate.

The championships are used to shortlist players who will make it to the final selections of Junior National Teams that will represent Botswana at this year's Africa Youth Chess Championships in Egypt from August 31 to September 9 as well as Africa Junior Championships to be held on December 28 to 4 January 4, 2014.
