Matebele Break TAFIC

Visiting TAFIC suffered their second consecutive defeat when they went down 1-0 to BDF XI in a dull Mascom Premier League match at the SSKB Stadium on Saturday.

Before the loss, Metjimenyenga has fallen 1-0 to high-spending Mochudi Centre Chiefs in Masunga. When they visited the army camp in Mogoditshane at the weekend, TAFIC supporters were hoping that they could get something from the game. Their hopes were not misplaced because BDF XI have failed to beat TAFIC in five previous meetings. The opening half lacked the expected spark with both sides playing sporadically. BDF XI could have gone to the break leading 3-0 but their strikers Edwin Kamwimba and System Mubi were a disappointment. The two joined Matebele this season and it seems their combination is not working so far.

There was nothing exciting about TAFIC and as they never threatened BDF XI goalkeeper, Modiri Marumo. Instead, TAFIC players were indisciplined and ignored instructions from their Zimbabwean coach Godfrey Tamirepi. Some answered back when he tried to instruct them or made rude gestures.
