Mascom bends on club sponsors� kit branding

Clubs that qualified for the Mascom Top 8 have been given the leeway to use kits branded with their sponsors’ logo. Mascom chief executive officer, Jose Vieira Couceiro made the announcement at the launch of the 2014-2015 edition of the competition in Gaborone yesterday.

In the last edition, there was controversy when Gaborone United (GU) were barred from branding their playing kit with the colours and symbols of the main sponsor, Mutual and Federal (now Old Mutual). 

Meanwhile, the prize money for the champions remains at P1 million though Couceiro announced an increase in the cash given to other top achievers with providing details. He said there will be community engagement exercises associated with the competition.
