After a good start in the Premier League, giants Mochudi Centre Chiefs turn their attention to the Kgatleng Independence Cup this weekend.

Magosi are scheduled to take on Second Division side, Oodi Blue Vultures in the cup's quarterfinals at Morwa Raising Stars Grounds tomorrow at 3pm. Vultures' manager Letter Rantabe told Mmegi Sport that they wanted to avoid Chiefs at this stage but the draw did not favour them. He said that they would play a cautious game hoping to go to penalties where anything can happen. "We definitely can't match a team of Chiefs' calibre as they are very experienced and have a very good coach," said Rantabe.

He conceded that they are an amateur side and they respect Magosi.  Chiefs' communications manager, Clifford Mogomotsi said they are taking the cup very seriously and they want to win it. "Before we played Rollers last Sunday, we played against Modipane United which gave us match practice and increased our fitness level." He said that they will take a full squad to Morwa tomorrow. The past season ended without any silverware for Magosi and they want to make sure that they clinch the P10,000 first prize.
