Local rider decries lack of support

With the 1,000 Desert race only two weeks away, Kwapa said local companies are giving them a cold shoulder as far as sponsorship is concerned.

"It is very difficult for us to get sponsorship, especially if you are unemployed; most of the local riders are sponsored by the companies they work for. Botswana Post sponsors Tiro Otlogetse because he works there, while Mothusi Lekone who is an employee of Engen, is sponsored by the company," Kwapa told Mmegi Sport.
