Satmos recovered form the loss of their kit to register a first win
Satmos beat Nico 4-2 in the Selebi-Phikwe derby but it was Kagiso Tutuwe who was “the man of the match” after he took away the team’s kit, claiming the club owed him. As a result, the match began 30 minutes late and Satmos had to use an alternative strip.
But the embarrassment saved to motivate the hosts who registered their first win of the season. Just three minutes into the game, Moodley Njeleza’s header gave Satmos the lead but Nico restored parity just a minute later through Christopher Musonda’s equaliser.
The rise in defilement and missing persons cases, particularly over the recent festive period, points not merely to a failure of policing, but to a profound and widespread societal crisis.
