Kgatleng retain Orange Youth Cup

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Kgatleng has retained the Orange Youth Cup after defeating Maun 4-1 in an exciting final at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium on Sunday.

Young Kamogelo Sikwane was the toast of the day as he scored a hat-trick to bury Maun. He was named the player of the tournament. He opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a brilliantly taken free-kick. After the goal, Kgatleng, who started the tournament as favourites camped in the Maun half.

But they were given a rude awakening against the run of play when their opponents equalised in a dead ball situation. In a carbon copy of the first goal, Garenosi Motlalepuo got the equaliser in the 17th minute and Maun were back in the game. But Kgatleng regained their lead when Gaontebale Molapong slotted home a minute before half time.
